We acknowledge and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn and play, and we respect their continuing connection to Country.  We are committed to deepening understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures and perspectives across our service. This includes respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges, pedagogies and worldviews into our program planning, delivery and everyday practice.     We will provide ongoing opportunities for children to learn about connection to Country, care for the land and sustainability, including learning from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members where possible. Outdoor learning and stewardship will continue to be valued as part of our approach.     YMCA Warrigal Road is committed to building and maintaining genuine, respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, educators and the wider community. Through these partnerships, we commit to continuous learning, reflection and growth, recognising reconciliation as an ongoing journey.     We support children, educators and families to engage with the full and truthful histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Australias shared histories. Through this understanding, we foster respect, responsibility and hope, empowering children to contribute to a more just, inclusive and reconciled future.
