VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Goodstart Tiwi, our vision for reconciliation is built upon respect, truth, and meaningful connections. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn and play, and we pay our deepest respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past, present, and emerging. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and culturally safe environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives, histories, and contributions are embedded in our daily practices. Through ongoing learning and collaboration, we strive to create a space where all children, families, and educators feel a deep sense of belonging and connection to Country. We seek to build authentic partnerships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, guided by mutual respect and shared knowledge. With permission, we will respectfully integrate First Nations teachings, stories, and traditions into our learning environment, ensuring that cultural wisdom is honored and passed down to future generations. At Goodstart Tiwi, we actively stand against racism, inequity and inequality, promoting diversity, inclusivity, and reconciliation through meaningful action. Our vision is a future where all voices are heard, all cultures are celebrated, and all children grow with a strong foundation of respect, understanding, and unity.
