Kidz Castle Margate will continue its commitment to reconciliation between all Australians and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Our vision, is to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our service and our community are treated equitably, equally and with dignity and respect. We will always acknowledge and value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures within the local community and be open to being a valued part of it.
We are committed to learning about what it means for us to create culturally responsive learning environments, by engaging in ongoing reflective practice and engaging in conversations with the First Nations community to ensure we are being culturally responsive in our approach. We will continue to include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives as part of our daily practice and within our curriculum and learning activities.
Our vision is for all children and families who are a part of our learning community, to be knowledgeable in what it means to be respectful and appreciative of the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and communities. Our vision is to support staff to engage in frequent professional learning to gain understanding of how to authentically embed First Nations perspectives into pedagogy and practice. As an extension of this, we will continue to develop an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories locally and within our service, thus strengthening the ways we work towards a united, equal and equitable Australia.
