At Goodstart Claremont, our vision is to respectfully learn from the Mouheneener people and deepen our understanding of their histories, cultures, and contemporary experiences.  We believe that all First Nations children should have equitable access to high-quality education and learning opportunities, just as every child across Australia deserves. We deeply value and honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Nations Peoples of Australia, recognising their enduring connection to Country and acknowledging their contributions through genuine respect and understanding.     As Australians committed to reconciliation, we strive to foster unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. We promote equality and equity, acknowledge our shared histories, and work to challenge discrimination and negative race relations. We recognise that reconciliation is built on strong relationships, mutual respect, and trust.   Our Reconciliation Action Plan is a formal commitment to this work, guided by the key themes of relationships, respect, and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through this commitment, Goodstart Early Learning Claremont aims to enrich the lives of our children, families, educators, volunteers, and local community by building deeper understanding, connection, and engagement with First Nations peoples.     We are dedicated to building relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to welcome them into our community and any contributions they want to share. We will continue to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, families, community members, and Elders create reciprocal transformational relationships in meaningful and culturally respectful ways.
