TAFE SA - Whyalla Campus Child Care Centre

TAFE SA Network Child Care Centres operate in the state of South Australia.   We recongise the continuing cultural heritages of the Traditional Custodians of the local area and the natural heritage of Country.  We are committed  to building on this heritage by respecting and listening to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples voices. We commit to thinking clearly, being  receptive to new ideas, speaking honestly, and deciding wisely for the current and future  well-being of those we serve and the Country upon which we walk. We make a  commitment to building strong relationships with the First Nations community, promoting equality and equity in educational outcomes and opportunities and fostering a sense of unity and belonging.   

Our vision for TAFESA Child care is to build on our current knowledge, learning and consult with local Elders or respected Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of the community to ensure the best path towards reconciliation.    

TAFE SA recognises that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have maintained their cultures, heritage, beliefs, languages, and laws and these are of ongoing importance.  We commit ourselves to learning from the wisdom and knowledge of the Traditional Owners and to fostering a spirit of respect, inclusivity, and reconciliation within our community.
