Our vision for reconciliation is to see all First Nations peoples acknowledged and respected for their unique and diverse cultural heritage and contributions to the contemporary Australian community. Building on strong connections our service has with local Ngarrindjeri families and people in the community, we seek to continue to learn from them and expand our understanding of the place in which we all live.
This journey will lead us to meaningfully integrate, as we are permitted, more traditional and contemporary expressions of the cultures and perspectives of the Traditional Custodians of this place into everyday learning and sharing in this Service. We recognise that this ongoing journey towards implementing actions within this Service and wider community weaves staff, families and wider community together into the processes of gaining knowledge and growing understanding and relationships as we bring our vision to reality.
