At Goodstart Early Learning Innisfail, we envision a future where reconciliation is woven into our community, fostering respect, understanding and unity. Motivated by a belief in the value of every individual and a recognition of past injustices, we are committed to a journey of healing and transformation.
Reconciliation means embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges and cultures, including that of Mamu Country's Yidinji, Ngajan, Dyirbal, Girramay, Warrgamay, Waruŋu, and Mbabaram groups, into our curriculum, fostering belonging for all, and building genuine relationships with local First Nations communities.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for the children we work with today ensuring they grow up in a world where they are valued for who they are, not judged or disadvantaged because of their identity, culture, or appearance. By embracing diversity, celebrating differences, and opening pathways to more opportunities, we strive to give every child the chance to thrive and contribute to a better future.
Together, we work towards a future where reconciliation is not just a vision, but a lived reality, guided by respect, equality, and justice.
