At Goodstart Coopers Plain, we are children who want to feel happy, safe and welcome.  We want Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all other Australians to be friends and to share, learn and grow together.  We are learning about Australia's story so we can help make our world fair and kind.  Â
Our Educators teach us to include everyone, be accepting and stand up for fairness, and this helps us learn how to make our centre a place where everyone feels safe and cared for. Â
It also encourages us to learn about and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples - their cultures, stories and lands - and to respect the special connection they have with Country, including the land, water, plants and animals. Â
In the future, we hope that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people feel respected, loved and welcomed, and that all children have the same chances to learn, play, make choices and feel proud of who they are. Â We know we are still learning, and our Reconciliation Action Plan will grow with us. Â With the help of our Educators, we will keep trying our best to be kind, fair, brave and respectful. Â Â
Together, we know that some things in the past were not fair. Â By listening, learning and caring for each other, we believe we can help make Australia a fairer and better place for everyone. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
