Sandgate Kids Early Education’s vision for reconciliation is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives to be embedded into the early education curriculum, ensuring it is a living embodiment of our everyday actions as educators, committee members, parents, and carers. We are committed to meaningful connections with the local First Nations communities, ongoing personal and professional learning for educators, caring for Country, strengthening programming through reflection, and a continued respect and acknowledgement of Sandgate’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and histories.
Residing in Meeanjin, on Turrabal Lands, we respect First Nations peoples’ connections to the ocean, sea life, wildlife, native trees, and freshwater lagoons.
Sandgate Kids Early Education acknowledges and respects the past, present, and future perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. We are committed to reconciliation, and a society that embraces equality, dignity, and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is at the forefront of our actions and will always be taken into consideration.
