VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Goodstart Early Learning Greenvale, we acknowledge our responsibility and commitment to reconciliation by working towards a culturally responsive environment that actively acknowledges and celebrates the unique place that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures have within and across Lands and communities throughout Australia.  Our RAP allows us to celebrate and build on our current practices and partnerships and to establish new relationships together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.  It reflects our beliefs that reconciliation, along with cultural awareness, safety and responsiveness, needs to continue to be embedded across the work that we do at the service and in our daily work with all education and care stakeholders. It is part of the daily experiences here at Greenvale.   We recognise our organisational responsibilities to work towards an equitable, equal and united society, and we support the five dimensions of Reconciliation Australia: Race Relations, Equality and Equity, Institutional Integrity, Unity, Historical Acceptance. We continue to improve our knowledge and understanding of reconciliation and First Nations peoples’ perspective, histories and contributions. Here at Greenvale we respectfully incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, histories and perspectives into our curriculum each and every day. Educators are culturally aware and responsive in engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures.
