Child's Play ELC Point Cook is committed to reconciliation and understands that reconciliation between First Nations Peoples and all other Australians is a shared responsibility of wider Australians. Our vision is to value and celebrate First Nations peoples cultures by strengthening educators, children's and familys knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, languages, arts, spirituality, laws and customs. Within our environments we will continue to provide respectful, engaging and meaningful opportunities that promote learning of First Nations perspectives, and to reflect that we are on our journey of reconciliation. Child's Play ELC Point Cook respects this Land on which it stands and embraces the Wurundjeri People and heritage of the Kulin Nation. As educators we promote the importance of looking after the Land and acknowledging the histories of the Boon Wurrung People as the Traditional Custodians of the Land and surrounding waters. We respect the Wurundjeri People who continue to look after this Land since long before us, and to who provide leadership to others in supporting relationships that are respectful, welcoming and inclusive for First Nations peoples. Our vision is for all children to have the opportunity to participate in quality early childhood education. We envision an equitable, inclusive and culturally respectful community with a sense of belonging and strong connections with community and Country.
