Our vision is for Childrens World Learning and Development Centre to be a place where reconciliation is embedded in actions of the Childrens World Learning and Development Centre community. We aim to do this by promoting social responsibility and accountability, underpinned by truth telling, mutual respect and understanding. We embrace unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and other Australians, and a national culture that represents equality and equity, historical acceptance of our shared history and removal of negative race relations. Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. We aim to educate our children about the future whilst incorporating a sense of belonging, being and becoming at Children's World Learning and Development Centre. We provide children with a range of learning experiences that promote respect, and enhance childrens knowledge and understanding of our countrys Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage. This encourages connectedness to first nations peoples within our service and the broader community, maintaining positive relationships and links to the Dharug Nation and people. This connectedness is being embedded throughout our daily curriculum, planning and rhythm/routine.
