VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Colour Ur Child's World Early Learning Centre's vision for reconciliation is to show deep respect and create a service strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This vision encapsulates the commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse service and workplace, where individuals from all backgrounds feel safe and valued. It also emphasizes the creation of a culturally proud and rich environment that celebrates the unique heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We will embrace Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' culture and acknowledge their contribution to the wisdom and skills they hold, share and support to build Australia. This involves integrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and knowledge into daily activities and educational programs, ensuring that children and staff alike gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of these traditions. The centre will actively seek to collaborate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, in events, workshops, and storytelling sessions.

It is every educator's goal that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage and values are respectfully embedded alongside the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) Becoming, Belonging and Being.
