VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

We at Albion Park World of Learning understand the importance of acknowledging the First Nations peoples of our community and throughout all communities within Australia.

We believe that reconciliation is the process in which we build and create meaningful connections with the Wodi Wodi people of Dharrawal Land.

To embed these practices of reconciliation we aim to promote the rich cultures and traditions held by the Wodi Wodi people of Dharrawal and other First Nations communities throughout Australia. We acknowledge and celebrate this with the children, families and the wider community of Albion Park.

We look forward to seeing these connections continue to grow through meaningful relationships which are core to our beliefs and a willingness to learn and become culturally competent.

We believe that when children are active participants in their community, they develop a strong sense of belonging and self-identity, vital in their understanding of the world. By teaching this knowledge in authentic ways, we hope to create a generation of people who are culturally aware and respectful.
