VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision is to create a culturally responsive environment where all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people feel a sense of inclusion, and respect is shown for all. Recognising that the cultural identity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and all people is something we all respect and acknowledge. Our drive is to empower future generations in our care and our community to become a more inclusive united Australia. We wish to create an environment that champions the rights of all First Nations peoples.

Educators in our service are supported to be culturally responsive by reflecting their own cultural lens, respectfully including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in learning experiences and environments. We want to share the truth of Australia's histories sharing this knowledge through stories and honest open discussions. Our vision is for all staff, children and families to be actively informed members of our community, participating in community events and to have strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, cultures, histories and perspectives.

We pride ourselves on treating all stakeholders, valuing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous children, families and members of the community with equality, equity and inclusion. We strive to continue to build and grow trusting relationships with the local Worimi community.  We strive to learn and grow in collaboration with the local Worimi community, the Traditional Custodians of the Land.

Our aim is to empower all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous children and educators to be leaders and active participants in Australia's evolving reconciliation journey.
