At Catherine McAuley School, we are committed to deepening our journey of reconciliation by fostering a community where all children, staff, and families feel a strong sense of belonging, pride, and respect. We believe reconciliation is a living process, grounded in relationships and actions that nurture understanding, truth-telling, and justice.   Our vision is to acknowledge and celebrate diversity by ensuring the histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are recognised, valued, and visible across our school. We will engage with and learn from First Nations voices by strengthening partnerships with students, families, Elders, and community members, and by listening deeply to their wisdom and guidance.  We strive to raise awareness and knowledge by reflecting on our shared past, celebrating our present, and working together towards a shared future where all people are treated with dignity and respect. We will embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in learning by providing authentic and ongoing opportunities to engage with culture, language, and stories across the curriculum. We seek to elevate First Nations students voices by creating a platform for students to share their perspectives, guide decision-making, and proudly celebrate their culture with the school community. We will be creating spaces for reflection and celebration through increased cultural events and opportunities for the whole school community to engage in reconciliation learning and action. Our focus on justice and inclusion involves committing to self-determination, cultural safety, and social equity for all.   Through this vision, Catherine McAuley School seeks to walk together with respect, strength, and hope, building a legacy of reconciliation that empowers the next generation.     Â
