VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At St Paul Lutheran School, we envision reconciliation as a daily practice rooted in respect, truth, and shared learning. We honour the Kaurna people as the Traditional Custodians of the Land and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.

We believe every child is curious, intuitive, creative, playful, and unique. Our Reggio Emilia-inspired Image of the Child guides us to see children as active participants in shaping a more just and inclusive future. Reconciliation begins by listening to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's voices and empowering them to lead.

We commit to:

Building respectful, two-way relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.  Embedding First Nations perspectives meaningfully across our curriculum.  Creating culturally safe spaces for all children and families.  Supporting ongoing learning and reflection for staff and children.  Celebrating diversity and unity in our shared journey.

We walk together in our values: we are curious, we are kind, we make a difference, and we belongnurturing a community where every child can flourish and every story is honoured.
