VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation at The DBFS community follows in the footsteps of Marlene Moore and Edmund Rice by working to foster equity in educational outcomes for all young people.  Our school supports and encourages all members of the school community to ensure  young people are afforded respectful and culturally responsive opportunities to learn and feel safe while they are at school. We actively promote the knowledge and truth of First Nations peoples, cultures and perspectives with all members of the DBFS community. We advocate strongly for all First Nations people, standing alongside them to amplify their voices and suppirt their rights.

We work towards building strong positive relationships between First Nations people and the wider community.  We continue to form conections with many and varied First Nations community members and organisations, and we value the voice and wisdom of First Nations staff and young people.

We will continue to use the four school principals, Common Ground and the EREA touchstones as a way of guiding and strengthening our community.
