VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Precious Cargo is committed to building strong community partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples based on mutual trust and respect. We respect and value the insights that we gain as we establish close relationships between Precious Cargo and the children, families, employees and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities with whom we work. We recognise the unique cultural rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Precious Cargo Collinswood supports strengthening equality and equity in education.

Precious Cargo's philosophy is demonstrated throughout our Reconciliation Action Plan. We believe that the future wellbeing of all Australians depends on respectful and positive relationships and a co-existence of rights between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all other Australians. To achieve this, we must engage with current issues and aspirations for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, issues of social justice and equity, and work towards fostering equality and equity.

We recognise and celebrate the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges, cultures, languages, customs, stories and connections to place and Country. We respect this diversity, and that is reflected throughout our Reconciliation Action Plan and celebrated with our reciprocal relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within the greater community. We want to enrich the education of everyone we work with through promoting fairness and equity, so Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, perspectives and cultures underlie all that we do.

Always was, always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Land.
