VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Goodstart Mount Louisa, our vision for Reconciliation is grounded in our unwavering commitment to walk alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, advocating for unity, truth-telling, and cultural celebration. We recognise and respect the importance of all Australians learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australias First Nations peoples, and we embed this understanding into our everyday practice. Through our continuous professional learning, we deepen our cultural knowledge, challenge biases, and strengthen our capacity to create culturally safe environments. We honour the histories, perspectives, and contributions of First Nations peoples as integral to our shared national story and identity. We are committed to developing and sustaining collaborative partnerships with local First Nations communities, guided by respect, reciprocity, and relational accountability. Truth-telling is central to our journey, and we actively engage in learning and unlearning to support meaningful change. Now more than ever, we celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures every daythrough storytelling, art, language, connection to Country, and community engagement. Reconciliation is not a moment; it is a movement. It lives in our relationships, our curriculum, our leadership, and our hearts. Together, we walk side by side.
