VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Goodstart Griffith-Coolah Street, our vision for reconciliation is driven by respectful, meaningful, and collaborative engagement with the local Wiradjuri community. We are committed to honouring and embedding Wiradjuri perspectives, language and histories into the heart of our service, ensuring they are not only respected but actively championed.

We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, children, and visitors feel connected to our service. Their values, beliefs, and cultural perspectives are thoughtfully woven into our daily curriculum, service philosophy, and educator practices.

Our commitment extends to building genuine relationships with First Nations Peoples recognising their strengths, celebrating their capabilities, and learning from their wisdom. We work every day in culturally sensitive ways, guided by respect and shared journey toward understanding.

We foster a strong sense of belonging for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals connected to our service whether they are children engaged in learning and play, members of our teaching and support team, families who entrust us with their children, or community members who collaborate with us in our work.

We acknowledge our shared responsibility to walk alongside children, families, and the broader community in advocating for lifelong learning. Together, we embed deep understanding and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, heritages, histories, knowledge systems, languages, and perspectives ensuring they are carried forward with pride for future generations.
