VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is to create a learning community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, and cultures are deeply respected, valued, and meaningfully embedded in everything we do.  We are committed to building an environment where children, families, educators, and the wider community walk together in the spirit of respect, truth, and unity. We recognise the enduring connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country, and we honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we live, work, learn, and grow. Through everyday practice, intentional teaching, and community engagement, we strive to foster understanding, respect, and engagement in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures and histories. We are building meaningful relationships with local First Nations communities, guided by respect and cultural knowledge. Empowering children, educators, and families to grow as active, respectful citizens who value diversity and reconciliation. By respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across our curriculum, environment, policies, and daily routines, our commitment to reconciliation is not a single act, but a continuous journey of learning, listening, and reflecting. Together, we aim to create a future where the diversity of First Nations peoples and cultures are celebrated, their voices are heard, and every child feels a strong sense of belonging.
