At Cecil Hills Early Education and Care Centre, our vision for reconciliation reflects Liverpool City Councils acknowledgment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of this Land. We value and celebrate the contributions of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and are committed to fostering respectful, inclusive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across our learning environment. Reconciliation to us means respectfully embedding diverse First Nations peoples perspectives into our play-based curriculum and creating a space where all children, families, and educators feel a strong sense of belonging. Through community engagement, local events, and our open-door policy, we actively involve children in learning about and engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures and histories. We believe that strong community connections enrich childrens understanding and help build a more inclusive and respectful future. Together, we walk the path of reconciliation learning, growing, and advocating for unity and respect.
