At Dee Why Kindergarten, our vision for reconciliation is to create a community where children, families and educators deeply value and respect the histories, cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.  We are committed to ongoing learning, reflection and action guided by the five dimensions of reconciliation. We will build and maintain respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members as we foster cultural understanding. We will ensure equal and equitable educational outcomes as we address systemic disadvantage. We will embed reconciliation into our practices, policies, and partnerships. We acknowledge the injustices of colonisation and the ongoing impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and commit to Truth-telling. We work together for a future where First Nations cultures are recognised and celebrated as central to our national identity Together with the Gai-Mariagal peoples of the Northern Beaches, we walk the path of reconciliation with respect, integrity and hope  building a stronger, more inclusive future for all.      Â
