VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Farran Street, we view reconciliation as an ongoing process that brings Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people together. This involves fostering a community that understands, acknowledges, and respects the histories, diverse cultures, and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We understand that a crucial aspect of this journey is a commitment to learning, unlearning, and relearning about ’Australia's true histories and First Nations peoples and cultures.  We will foster respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, deepening our understanding of, and how to respectfully share, First Nations perspectives.   We recognise the importance of learning about Country from Traditional Custodians, incorporating the values of caring for Country, custodianship, and reconciliation into our daily routines. We strive for current and future generations to champion equal rights and hold profound respect for the First Peoples of Australia.
