Our Lady of the Visitation Primary School

At Our Lady of the Visitation School our vision for reconciliation is a journey of Truth telling, healing and hope. Our vision is to create a school community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples true histories, cultures and perspectives are honoured, respected, and respectfully embedded in daily life. We are committed to building strong and respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, Elders and community members so that their voices guide our actions and decisions. Through meaningful relationships we seek to provide students and staff with authentic opportunities to learn about and from the worlds oldest living cultures.  Our school strives to ensure that reconciliation is visible in our policies, practices and curriculum. We aim to nurture a community where every student feels a deep sense of belonging and where all members recognise their responsibility to contribute to a just, inclusive and reconciled future. By walking together in faith, respect and understanding we empower our students and staff to become leaders of reconciliation who carry these values into the wider world.
