VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

St Mary's is committed to improving learning opportunities and outcomes to ensure all students achieve academic success. We will show this commitment by acknowledging the diverse cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As a school, we strive for staff and students to acknowledge and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples, perspectives, histories and cultures. We continue to deepen our knowledge and understanding of, and meaningful relationships with, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As we continue to grow as a community of active learners, we commit to ensuring there is a focus on what it means to respectfully engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples' histories, values, languages and culture across Australia.

Reconciliation means respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples’ cultures and perspectives, fostering an environment where everyone is welcomed, respected, and represented in all aspects of learning.

We strive to ensure families and wider community feel supported and connected.
