Our Hillbrook vision for reconciliation is an inclusive community that builds and maintains respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians, while embracing diversity of First Nations peoples and cultures. Understanding the true histories of the Country Hillbrook sits on is vital on the path to reconciliation. Since formally establishing our RAP, continue to deepen our understanding of, and respect for, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and strive to promote equality and equity in educational opportunities and outcomes. Our service culture promotes historical acceptance of our shared histories and promotion of positive relations. We continue to acknowledge, respect, and celebrate the cultures, heritages and continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Actively respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives is part of the educational landscape at Hillbrook. The Hillbrook community is committed to respectfully including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples ways of learning, knowing and being into the curriculum and extending into the broader school community and beyond to include other communities, who we continue to learn, unlearn and relearn with.      Â
