VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Livingstone Primary School (LPS), we aim to respectfully include the histories and cultures of First Nations peoples in everything we do. This means our teachers and education staff will learn how to share these perspectives in a way that is respectful and meaningful, helping us all work together towards reconciliation.

We believe it's important to respect and value all the different cultures in our local community, especially First Nations peoples. We will keep learning about First Nations cultures to ensure our school is a place where everyone feels included and respected. We will also continue to build strong, positive relationships with the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our school is located, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We also aim to work in collaboration with Woiwurrung language group to incorporate meaningful use of their language.

Our school is committed to providing culturally responsive learning opportunities for our teachers and staff. This ensures that our practices further reconciliation in our learning community in a meaningful way.

Together, we aim to foster a culturally inclusive school that values First Nations communities and all diverse communities, building lifelong connections.
