VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Box Hill High School's vision for reconciliation is driven by our school values and strategic direction. Respect, creativity, resilience and growth are interconnected with the 5 dimensions of reconciliation.     Unity: we recognise and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of being, First Nations peoples contributions and perspectives across a range of areas in our school.   Race Relations: we strive to build authentic relationships with First Nations families in our school community, contributing to a shared understanding and appreciation of all cultures rights and experiences.   Equality & Equity: we will ensure First Nations students and their families are supported by a team around the learner to work towards shared goals and student success.   Institutional Integrity: we aim to be a community that actively supports reconciliation through respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' histories, cultures and perspectives into all aspects of our school community.   Historical acceptance: we build a community where First Nations peoples' histories are taught and engaged with by educators and in learning experiences, supporting our commitment to ongoing reconciliation efforts.
