VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Parramatta East Public School, we honour and pay deep respect to the Darug people, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn, grow, and gather. In particular, we acknowledge the Burramattagal Clan, whose connection to this Country spans countless generations and continues today.

Our vision for reconciliation is grounded in truth, respect, and shared responsibility. We walk together to deepen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and knowledge systems. We recognise the strength and resilience of First Nations peoples and commit to truth-telling about our shared history.

We are dedicated to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across all areas of school lifethrough our curriculum, relationships, and community engagement. By doing so, we nurture pride in the worlds oldest living cultures and promote a deeper appreciation of the Country we all live on.

As life-long learnersstudents, staff, and familieswe recognise that reconciliation is not a destination but a continuing journey. We strive to create a culturally safe and responsive environment where all voices are valued and respected. We honour the stories, wisdom, and leadership of the Darug Nation and work in genuine partnership to listen, learn, and grow together.

In walking this path, we commit to building a future where cultural strength and connection are celebrated, and reconciliation lives in the hearts, minds, and actions of all.
