VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is to respect and acknowledge the unique connections that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have with the Lands on which early learning centres across Australia are situated. We will build genuine, respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and all children and families.  We are committed to fostering the cultural safety of every child who attends our centre. We will not tolerate racism or exclusion. We continue to support the rights of all children, families and community members including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and their right to self-determination. We believe that all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. We will continue to respectfully include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples knowledge and perspectives within our services environment and pedagogical practices to acknowledge and celebrate the importance of First Nations peoples voices.  In order to foster reconciliation and actively respect both personal and cultural difference and diversity, we all need to continue to work together and form trusting relationships that is not just culturally safe but culturally rich, inclusive, accepting and proud.
