VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Una Kids Springwood is committed to seeking and fostering unity, equity and equality between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians, as we believe that reconciliation is of critical importance towards a future of solidarity.     As Educators, we recognise the crucial role we play in respectfully teaching about the rich histories, cultures and achievements of the First Nations Peoples of Australia. We continue to strengthen our knowledge and capacity through ongoing learning and continued cross-cultural awareness development. We will continue to ensure that the Early Years Learning Framework informs how reconciliation is embedded into the daily program in meaningful ways.     Our vision is to build mutual trust, understanding and respect with families and communities, including with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Our Company is committed to ongoing learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and contemporary affairs, achievements, and aspirations. Through exploring issues of fairness, justice, equality and equity, we hope to develop a sense of social justice among educators and future generations, leading to a better, fairer society in which reconciliation will thrive.     We aim to create a fair and equitable environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families are supported, and their cultures are respected and celebrated.      Our vision is to educate both children and adults about Australia's true history, promoting understanding and advocating for reconciliation through shared, authentic learning experiences.
