VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Lochinvar Learning Early Education, Care and Preschool, our vision for reconciliation is to create a learning environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, voices, and perspectives are deeply respected, valued, and embedded in everything we do. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn and play, and we are committed to fostering a future where all children grow with a strong sense of connection, respect, and belonging to country and our Australian identity.

Our vision is to nurture a generation of children who understand and appreciate the rich perspectives, traditions, and contributions of First Nations peoples. We strive to create a culturally safe and inclusive space where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families feel heard, represented, and celebrated.

Reconciliation is a journey of truth-telling, learning, and meaningful action. We are committed to listening to and working alongside First Nations communities, embedding their knowledge and perspectives into our teaching, and challenging inequalities. By embracing reconciliation as a shared responsibility, we envision a future where respect, unity, and understanding guide the way forward creating a stronger, more inclusive Australia for generations to come.

This aligns with and celebrates our service philosophy of growing knowledge, embodying care, embedding relationships and fostering empowerment.
