Our vision at Lady Gowrie Murrumba Downs Community kindergarten is that all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are recognised and respected. We endeavour to build relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and the broader community to strengthen our knowledge and understanding. This will enable us to foster environments that enable us to embed activities into the program that reflect and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures.
We also believe that we need to ensure that our kindergarten is accessible and inclusive with a feeling of connectedness towards the First Peoples of Australia, respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and histories.
