VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are valued and treated with equity, dignity and respect and aspire to reflect this in our learning environment.  Buttercups Champion Lakes intention is to create equal and equitable educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and non-Indigenous children. We seek to provide employees, families and children with opportunities to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories, and acknowledge the differences that need to be celebrated to achieve the principles of reconciliation.  At Buttercups Champion Lake's, we believe in celebrating the rich and diverse heritages of the oldest continuing cultures and recognising the ongoing strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As an early education provider, we commit to building relationships with, and working alongside, local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in a culturally appropriate way, seeking to partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations to deliver programs for children to learn in an inclusive, culturally aware and appropriate manner.
