Our vision for reconciliation at Officer Specialist School is to provide a culturally safe learning environment for all of our school community where we foster equal and equitable opportunities and experiences for both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and non-Indigenous students. We continue to provide opportunities for students, staff, families and the wider community, to respectfully learn about First Nations peoples’ histories, cultures, and continuing contributions.
We remain committed to building and maintaining relationships with the local First Nations communities, providing the spaces for First Nations voices and truth telling, and ensuring that First Nations Peoples are treated with respect and dignity as we foster a learning environment that promotes reconciliation between First Nations Peoples and the wider Australian community.
