VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Story House Miranda, our vision for reconciliation is reflected in our commitment as educators to advocate for systemic change and to cultivate a learning environment that promotes understanding, respect, and collaboration between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, other Australians, and the broader diverse communities we serve. This vision is grounded in acknowledging the historical and ongoing injustices faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples since colonisation and taking actionable steps toward building a shared and equitable future.

We strive to foster meaningful relationships with, and learning alongside, local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, incorporating First Nations peoples’ perspectives into our practices. We strive for a society where everyone feels valued, supported, and provided with equal and equitable opportunities to thrive. This ongoing journey requires us to listen, learn, and work together to advance reconciliation in all aspects of our service and beyond.
