Our vision for reconciliation is to instil in our preschool community the knowledge and confidence to actively engage and build meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and to foster a deeper understanding and respect for First Peoples traditions, histories, backgrounds and stories (both historical and contemporary).
This pursuit is a commitment to creating a culturally safe environment and to build a more harmonious, equal and equitable society for all. We want all children, families and community to feel culturally safe and join in the learning of reconciliation alongside us.
We will provide opportunities for staff to become culturally responsive and build upon their current understandings and knowledge.
