VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Explore & Develop Emu Plains, we acknowledge the enduring connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country, culture, and community. We are committed to promoting equity, equality and fostering genuine respect between First Nations peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.

Our practices seek to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories, and perspectives into the fabric of our daily learning environments. We aim to nurture meaningful opportunities for children, families, and educators to deepen their understanding, appreciation, and respect for the richness and diversity of First Nations cultures.

We are actively building respectful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, guided by a spirit of reciprocity and ongoing learning. These relationships support us in honouring and caring for Country, and in ensuring that our actions are informed by local knowledge and cultural protocols.

From birth through to school age, our curriculum reflects a commitment to anti-bias and anti-racism education. We work to challenge stereotypes and promote a culture of inclusion, where diversity is acknowledged and equity is embedded across all aspects of our practice.
