At Little Zaks Narellan Vale, we are committed to fostering a culturally safe and inclusive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples feel respected, valued, and acknowledged. We believe that reconciliation is an ongoing journey that requires genuine reflection, relationship-building, and shared responsibility.
Over the past year, we have strengthened our commitment by embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout our weekly programming and everyday practices. We begin each day with an Acknowledgement of Country, instilling respect for the Traditional Custodians of the land and deepening childrens connection to place. These consistent actions help promote understanding, respect, and pride in the worlds oldest living cultures.
We recognise that reconciliation requires active participation from non-Indigenous Australians and a commitment to listening, learning, and acting with integrity. Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for children, educators, families, and the wider community to engage with the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations peoplesboth locally and nationally.
We value the enduring strength and wisdom of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and are dedicated to learning from their knowledge systems and perspectives. By embedding cultural learning in our environment, we aim to build empathy, awareness, and unity.
Our vision is to support truth-telling, foster inclusive relationships, and contribute to positive change through our everyday actions. We are proud to walk alongside First Nations peoples in support of reconciliation and remain committed to making a lasting impact across our community.
