Firstly, we would like to pay respects to the Traditional custodians of the Land in which we learn and play. We acknowledge the continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to the Education for all children.
Our vision is for a future of strong relationships between our early learning community and the wider Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We emphasise an inclusive, equitable and culturally respectful community, and we recognise that Early Education is a pathway to a reconciled nation. We strive for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children to participate in quality education. Further, we will work with non-Indigenous Educators, children and their families to value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and peoples. Our vision is for a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are recognised as the First Nations people of Australia, where all Australian's embrace the Elders past, present and future for the wisdon and knowledge that they hold and share and support emerging leaders in local communities. Poka Dot Kids is contributing to an Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children and families feel a sense of belonging and strong connections with community and Country.
