Our vision for reconciliation at Belmore Montessori Academy is to enrich, enlighten and to further educate all educators, families and children within the centre on the diversity and contributions of Australia's First Nations peoples. Educators, families and children will take this opportunity to develop a strong sense of understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' histories, perspectives and experiences within our education program. We are committed to building and deepening meaningful, respectful, and collaborative relationships with our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, grounded in listening, learning, and shared action that celebrates culture and strengthens connection. As part of our philosophy, we value diversity within our service. For this reason, we will facilitate experiences that broaden children's, families and educators' perspectives and understandings of reconciliation and encourage them to participate, whenever possible, in connecting the home, the centre and the community. This RAP will be attached to and implemented alongside the weekly planning to form part of our Quality Improvement Plan.Â
