Ardtornish OSHC believes reconciliation is vital to creating an equal, equitable and socially just Australia. We continue to foster respectful connections between Ardtornish OSHC and the Traditional Custodians of the Land that we are situated on, the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plain). By strengthening relationships, respect, and opportunities in the classroom, around the school and within the OSHC setting, we will aim to enhance our awareness and understanding of the cultures, histories, and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This will further develop inclusiveness and assist in maintaining a culturally responsive environment, where worldviews and diversity is not only respected, but acknowledged and celebrated. Our practices will enable all children to feel acknowledged through play-based learning opportunities by providing diverse experiences that encourage and stimulate each child’s growth and development, which reflects our evloving journey.
