VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Guardian Phillip Street, we are dedicated to fostering an environment of reconciliation, respect, and cultural responsiveness. Our commitment to reconciliation is rooted in the belief that all children, families, and staff deserve to feel valued, respected, and included. We strive to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives into our programs, and practices, recognising the richness and diversity of  First Nations peoples and cultures. We are committed to educating ourselves, our children, families, and staff about the histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge the importance of listening to and learning from First Nations peoples to deepen our understanding and respect. Through ongoing reflection, learning, and action, we continue to create an inclusive and culturally safe environment for all. We will continue to work collaboratively with  local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities as we ensure our practices align with the principles of reconciliation. We acknowledge that reconciliation is a journey, and we are committed to taking meaningful steps forward, guided by the principles of equity, respect, and unity. Together, we can create a more inclusive and reconciled future for us all.
