In our Early Learning Service, we want to create an understanding of what is required to achieve reconciliation and our vision that surrounds this. We will respectfully Embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into everyday learning. Â Â
Staff, families and children understand the importance of building relationships with and actively listening to the voices and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members in shaping and enacting their school or early learning services vision for reconciliation. Â We will extend our knowledge as educators and then we can extend the children's knowledge, seeking advice from local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people about preferences and protocols for respectful language ensuring we are being inclusive, authentic and not tokenistic. Â
We will acknowledge the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, remembering that each individual's experience is varied and highly personal.Â
