VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is to create a culturally safe, equitable and responsive community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives are respectfully embedded into our programs and practices as we continue building respectful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples communities. This fosters deep understanding of the First Peoples of this Land we call Australia, their true histories and cultures, and ways of being to improve educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children as well as non-Indigenous children, their families and the wider community. We acknowledge and recognise past and present injustices Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples continue to face. Through working with children, families and the community, we aim to model a culturally safe and equitable environment, and  by enhancing all children's and educators experiences and assisting in the authentic advancement of reconciliation. It is a deep commitment for children and young people to learn about what has come before and working together for what is to come, developing active and involved citizens with a drive to instill change.
