VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Emmaus Kindergarten, our vision for reconciliation is to create and nurture a community that honours and promotes the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia. We are committed to walking together with our Baul (head) to learn, Dulgo (heart) to care, and Dungunn (hands) to help building a shared future grounded in respect, connection, and understanding. We strive to embed First Nations perspectives, language, and stories into our daily learning environments, building meaningful relationships with First Nations peoples, including local Mununjali Elders, Knowledge Holders and cultural consultants who guide and inspire our journey. We are dedicated to growing cultural confidence within our team and community through ongoing learning, reflection and practice. We foster belonging and identity for every child by weaving culture into our curriculum in authentic and meaningful ways. Through our actions, partnerships and shared commitment to reconciliation, we aim to champion justice and equity for all. Guided by Billie Musk, a proud Aboriginal woman, and inspired by the strength of the Mununjali people, we walk forward with Baul, Dulgo and Dungunn learning, caring and helping together. We believe in MOBO JARJUM For Tomorrows Children, ensuring our cultural journey today creates a more connected, respectful and inclusive tomorrow.
