VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our RAP formalises our commitment to reconciliation and improving educational opportunities and cultural connectedness to the histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.  The children, educators and families at Bright Buttons gain an understanding of Australia's cultural heritages and learn to respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures. We will acknowledge past, present and emerging Elders of the Gubbi Gubbi Land we are on, within our daily activities. As early childhood educators and young learners we are committed to continued actions towards reconciliation, improving our community's understanding of the importance of reconciliation and building meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.  The centre will continue to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' perspectives within our teaching and learning experiences and each year we will build on our knowledge as a centre and will continue to share that knowledge and understanding with the children.   In doing so we strive to provide meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and all students to achieve their full potential.
