Our vision for reconciliation is that all children and educators in our centre grow to be mindful and respectful of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and histories. As early childhood professionals, we are committed to ongoing learning and professional development, building our knowledge of the First Peoples of Australia and finding respectful, authentic ways to embed these perspectives into our daily practice and routines. We acknowledge the Yuggera people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, work, and play. We strive to respectfully share our learnings from the knowledge of Elders and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of the Yuggera Nation with the children as they play, learn, and grow at Avenues Early Learning Centre Camp Hill. As we move on Country, we honour those who have walked before us and commit to moving forward with care, respect, and responsibility.
